At Shakespeare Distillery in Stratford-upon-Avon, you’ll tour a working small-batch distillery, hear how Tudor-era ingredients shaped gin, and taste at least three in-house spirits. “This is an excellent activity for anyone spending time in Stratford upon Avon (and that likes gin). Really interesting tour with great knowledge/information shared by the owner/distiller Sam. Booked as a activity my wife would enjoy, as I am not a gin drinker but I just may have been converted, as the tasting at the end of the tour was fantastic and the included G&T went down a treat.”

Spend 75 minutes touring Shakespeare Distillery in Stratford-upon-Avon, where small-batch gin and rum are made, bottled, labelled, and sealed by hand. Guides such as Sharon and Dave explain the process with humor and clear detail, followed by three spirit samples and a gin and tonic or rum and mixer. Soft drinks are available for children and designated drivers.

“It was one of the best distillery tours. Sharon and Dave were super knowledgeable and fun to listen to. I’ve definitely learned a lot from the tour including why we use some expressions in english language included ‘drunk blinde’. Already recommended to some people. I might also do it again when near by.”

Gin Tasting at Judith’s, Shakespeare Distillery

4.Gin Tasting at Judith’s, Shakespeare Distillery

★★★★★★★★★★5.0 · 10 reviews · 1 hour · from $19Best value

Meet at Shakespeare Distillery’s shop in Judith Shakespeare’s former home for a one-hour English-language tasting. Begin with a Stratford Dry Gin and Tonic, hear how gin developed and how the distillery makes its spirits, then sample three more drinks with mixer advice. Adults taste; ages 8 to 17 receive soft drinks.

“Not quite the format expected as it was a virtual tour at the shop and not the actual distillery. We probably assumed it was mass produced and thought it would be like a brewery tour. However the session was very enjoyable and informative. A veritable gin education. Thank you”
