Spend 7.5 hours exploring the Algarve’s hills and rural villages in a Jeep convoy. Guides such as Michael, George, Luis, and Ricardo share local stories, point out cork trees and wild herbs, and lead you to a small distillery for medronho and honey tasting. A traditional lunch, hotel pickup, and return transport are included.
“We explored very remote areas of the Algarve that we would have never been able to see on our own. Our guide Michael was very knowledgeable- we learned much about the history, people, vegetation, flowers of Portugal while stopping at a rural farm in which we sampled homemade schnapps & honey. Learning details of cork trees and harvesting of this important product was interesting. We had lunch at a rural restaurant off the beaten tourist track - best Piri Piri chicken we've had made over an open flame grill. Would have been a better ride with fewer people - jeep was very cramped with 3 people across in the back…”
